Remember those metal lunchboxes that came with a matching thermos? Not only could you bring a Wonder Bread and bologna sandwich to school every day for lunch, but you could accompany that deliciously singular meal with either a hot soup or a cool glass of Hawaiian punch! Life was good.

Not only would you flex on your fellow middle schoolers about which Avenger was on your lunchbox, but you could flirt with your crush by striking up a conversation about her lunchbox's design. Lunchbox designs said a lot about a kid back then. Nowadays all of our lunches come in the same UberEats packaging, wasting away in feeble paper bags while the legendary lunchbox of yore gathers dust in the attic. Imagine the joy of every nostalgic historian who stumbles upon such a relic–perhaps that's how the grocery store employees feel when they see the birth year on my license. I'm certainly over 21, Bucko!
